Safety & well-being
The Safety and Wellbeing theme of The Children's Fund aims to
make sure that fewer children and young people commit crime. We
also want to lower the number of young people who become victims
of crime.
The project aims are:
to provide a counselling service for women and children who have
been victims of domestic violence
to prevent bullying in schools
to provide out of school activities which engage children and
reduce the likelihood of involvement in anti-social behaviour
to reduce racial tension and build positive relationships in
communities
The following projects cover the safety and wellbeing theme
Tameside Women's Project
GMC Fire Service Junior Fire Cadets
School Transition Programme
Sport and Youth Service Awards Scheme
